I Do [2010]

Mayumi (Erich Gonzales) and Lance (Enchong Dee) are lovers. They both meet during a wedding and after that they decide to get married despite having cultural differences. Lance is from Chinese descendant while Mayumi is a pure Filipino. However, both of their families are against their relationship.

Mayumi is accused of not respecting the Chinese culture by wearing a blue dress while attending a birthday party, with other guests wearing red. Red attires are preferred compared to other colors for every Chinese while attending celebrations, and they complain in front of Lance how inappropriate her manner is and how she looked very different than others.

To make the matter worst, Mayumi is pregnant with Lance's child and her father (Dennis Padilla) later asks her to move out. Mayumi has nowhere to go but to stay at Lance's place temporarily. Although both want to get married with each other Lance's family are not supportive of their decision when they find out Mayumi's baby is a girl.

Having a baby girl is unfavorable to Lance's family as a baby boy would help to pass down the generation's surname. It is compulsory for Lance to marry a Chinese girl in order to continue their Chinese generation. Mayumi's family blame Lance for making their daughter pregnant and both have to marry by force in order to save the family's dignity.

Mayumi dreamt for a long time since childhood of her dream wedding. However, it keeps postponed as Lance does not have enough money to hold that kind of expensive wedding. While breaking up is not an option for the couple they are stuck in making the best decisions for themselves and future. Will they ever get married?
