Synopsis
In Tokyo, on a corner exists Takano Pharmacy. The owner is Ginko (Sayuri Yoshinaga) - a woman who let her husband die. Ginko has one daughter named Koharu (Yu Aoi) and lives with her. Also living with Ginko and Koharu is paternal grandmother Kinuo (Haruko Kato). Koharu is engaged to a doctor.

In Osaka, Ginko's younger brother Tetsuro (Tsurube Shofukutei) works as a failed actor and is an alcholic. After drinking more alcohol, Tetsuro was going to the wedding, but he didn't arrive, which the paternal grandmother was thankful for.

On the day of the wedding, Ginko's older brother Shohei (Nenji Kobayashi) states, "Thank you for raising me." The atmosphere at the wedding is nice and calm, but later it would turn darker. Tetsuro, dressed in clean clothes, arrives at the wedding sweating. Shohei asks his younger brother "Please don't drink today." But, Tetsuro cannot help himself. With other young people at the wedding, Tetsuro starts drinking. Later, Tetsuro starts singing and throwing tables. The doctor then says, "I will not marry her" ....
