Synopsis
“King Kong Eul Deul Da” is a new South Korean movie that will center around female weightlifting. The film itself is based on a true story. Set in a small rural village in the 1990’s, “King Kong Eul Deul Da” will tell the story of the female high school weight lifting club and the success they achieved.

Familiar acting vet Beom-su Lee plays the teacher of the weight lifting club and the movie is told through his flashbacks from the present day to the 1990’s. Actress An Jo plays Yeong-ja Park, the best female weight lifter in the high school and still currently involved in weight lifting. Meanwhile, relative newcomer Yun-hee Lee plays Min-hee Song, a daughter from a rich family who doesn’t care about anyone but herself. Min-hee then gets involved with the weight lifting club and she starts to grow as a person. Movie will be directed by first time director Keon-hong Park.
