Synopsis:Eight-year-old girl Xin Yue has a dream. She dreams of standing in Tiananmen square in Beijing, watching, as China's national flag is raised. But to realize her dream is difficult. She has brain cancer, which causes her to lose her eyesight. And she is too sick to make the journey from her home in northeastern Changchun, to the capital.

But love creates a miracle. Friends and strangers offer their ingenuity to make Xin Yue's wish come true. They create a flag-raising ceremony in Changchun, the capital of Jilin province, just for her.

The real story of Xinyue touched many Chinese people... who reached out in their own way to bring Xin Yue to Beijing, where she underwent medical treatment free of charge. With the help of many kind people, she fulfilled her dream at last, to visit Tiananmen square.
